Modern Jobs and New Economic Engines

for Legacy Coal Communities Around the Globe

Tomorrow's Industry

There are currently 738 coal ash storage facilities in 47 states in America, primarily in rural settings.  Well over 90% have been assessed to be leaching into groundwater and having some local negative environmental impacts, thereby creating nonpartisan discussion and opportunity that includes social justice, rural economic renewal, and community sustainability.

The downward pressure on coal and coal power makes these realities equally relevant in the United Kingdom and throughout eastern Europe.

By beneficially upgrading stored waste coal ash, green cement replacement products for those projects can be offered for next-generation infrastructure, reducing energy intensity and greenhouse gas emissions, and creating sustainable industries and jobs.

This waste to value opportunity represents the transition legacy coal communities require to modern jobs in an industry that supports construction projects and national defence.

SonoAsh, in partnership with national thought leaders in academia and aligned industries, is seeking to leverage its intellectual property and five (5) patent families to establish development centers for beneficially upgrading waste coal ash into green high-performance cement and recovering metals present.
